Maes yr Afon St Dogmaels

Very cozy cottage set in a great location to explore south wales. We had a lovely time sitting by the fire on colder days and were able to cook plenty of meals in the well stocked kitchen.

We had a few uncharacteristically hot days where it got fairly warm in the cottage. It can especially get a little hot in the bedroom loft.

This is the perfect cottage for a couple - compact but with everything we needed and very cosy. The location is also excellent with the centre of St Dogmaels just a 10 minute walk away. So many well marked footpaths, including one running right past the front door, which was great for a walking holiday.

Nothing! The ladder up to the bedroom would be challenging for anyone who is less mobile but it wasn't a problem for us.

The cottage was perfect for a cozy Christmas. Thank you so much for the Christmas tree, beautiful wine and chocolates and for the logs. We had everything we could have needed and we had a wonderful, relaxing stay. More than we could have hoped for our Christmas. And that bed!! So comfy and warm!!!

The cottage was perfectly equipped, though the knives and scissors were a little blunt! But that is being picky. We could have always gone out and bought our own.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, stunning view and everything you need at hand. Very welcoming owner. Will definitely stay again

Having to come home

Location was perfect for me, quiet and with a great view. Local facilities were very good with two pubs and a well stocked shop within walking distance. Also there was a good cafe and a take a way chippy.

Ideally situated for a lone traveller. Beautiful village, with property high and overlooking the village, river and surrounding countryside. Property perfect for me and welcome gifts much appreciated.

Last few yards approaching the property a bit of a strain after a walk - could be difficult for someone less agile!
