Casa la cava

The room is 10min walking from the train station, in the middle of città vecchia. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom super nice.

To get into the room there are some steep steps.

Nicely renovated room in old building. Very clean and good housekeeping service. Generous breakfast snacks. Very responsive host and good communication. Despite a few snags, good place to stay.

Key was not in the box when I arrived and had to call host. Hurt my toes at the door sill to the bathroom because cannot see the difference in level, due to same color floor tiles in bedroom and bathroom. As for the toilet seat: bring your own, haha. Sadly, very inconsiderate neighbours, played loud music and exploded fireworks till way past midnight despite pleas by host to stop the noise. (One evening birthday party).

The breakfast was made up of dry bread, dry toast and some jam & Nutella. however, I was expecting a proper breakfast - so this was nothing special

When I found the premises, I knocked on the door for a long time but there was nobody to open the door. To enter the premises, I needed a code number to open a small key-safe on the wall next to the entrance door - this was very unfamiliar to me. Eventually a friendly passer-by (stranger) helped me by phoning several people on his mobile phone until we reached the owner of the property, who then explained the access procedure and code number for the key-safe. This process must be improved, contact numbers & codes issued to the visitor before his arrival.

Very spacious place and great location with walking distance from the train station. The terrace upstairs is also very nice. The breakfast basket was a lovely addition and also useful to have a small fridge.

Bathroom is very basic even though the shower is big but missing a toilet seat and maybe a shelf or some furniture.

Good location in old city but also close to train/bus station. For the price we pay it is very good place to sleep. There us even a roof top to relax on 3rd floor ;)

The stairs into the property were very steep and could do with a better sign outside.
