Very comfortable beds and shower, cosy and beautiful space. Barbara is charming and caring. She prepared sandwiches for us for the road. Thank you for your hospitality, Barbara!

"Barbara and Angus are great hosts in a super location."

10.0

Hosts Barbara and Angus went out of their way to help us, from steering us in when we were lost to making everything pleasant during our stay. Their property is exceptional and all the animals will delight visitors. Views from the property are particularly special.

The washing machine advertised was out of service and we found the central heating difficult to control.

"Lovely! We would definitely stay here again."

8.0

Barbra and the hosts were so lovely, very helpful and accommodating. They regularly checked in to see if we needed anything and made our stay very homely. The room and location were nice. Breakfast included fresh eggs from the farm, bacon, yogurt and more which was amazing!

We initially struggled to find the property, look out for the sign for farm fresh eggs! There is also lots of dogs on the property, which is something to be aware of if anyone in your party is afraid of them.

"A relaxing, quaint and cosy country cottage with lots of unique features."

10.0

We were pleasantly surprised by how central the location was for so many activities. Our Grandchildren, paddle boarded, Kayaked, rowed and enjoyed a motor boat. Aldo close by was Rudyard's steam railway. We will be back for rock climbing and walking. The accommodation at the Jewel was very comfortable, probably best described as a small, cosy, country cottage. The lounge was a lovely environment for a family of four to enjoy an evening of games or just chill. For breakfast the cottage contained bacon, fresh eggs, bread, milk butter and a range of cereals. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. If you enjoy unique experiences with a hint of eccentricity then this is accommodation you will enjoy, there is nothing of the bland hotel chain about it. The hosts are a lovely couple and very amenable. The shower was excellent.

Initially we had trouble finding it but if you know that it is opposite Dingle Lane it is easy to find by entering the Post Code into Sat Nav.

The whole experience was fantastic! The accommodation was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. The games provided were welcomed and enjoyed by my teenage grandchildren. We're definitely coming back!
