One of the best accommodations we've ever stayed at – and we’ve traveled a lot! For our family of four, it was simply the perfect choice: a spacious living room with a kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers and toilets, a washing machine, dryer, iron, and a fully, truly fully equipped kitchen (believe me, I’m a chef – there wasn’t a single tool or accessory missing).
The location is outstanding – right in the heart of the city. Restaurants and shops are just a few steps away, the marina promenade is a 2-minute walk, the famous market is 6–7 minutes, and the parking garage is just 7–8 minutes on foot. You can safely leave your car in the large garage (forget the online reviews – payment via app or the onsite machine is perfectly smooth). And honestly, you won’t even need a car in Ortigia – everything is within walking distance, and for getting to Syracuse proper, the rickshaws are a fun option.
If you love the Italian way of life but also appreciate a touch of luxury, this apartment was made for you. Beautifully renovated, everything feels almost brand new – like someone lent you their perfectly designed home. Morning coffee on the terrace is pure magic: you breathe in the scent of Italy, feel the sun’s first rays warming your face, and listen to the awakening city around you. It’s genius.
And the other magic? Head to the market, buy some fresh fish, cook it at home, throw open the windows – and if you're lucky, the neighbor across the street might be playing the most amazing jazz improvisation on his guitar. Meanwhile, the city buzzes with life, Italian voices, and curious tourists. La Dolce Vita!
