"Quiet, spacious, great location"

9.0

The house is located in a tiny village, which was great for us - but you definitely need a car to get around. Check out the bakery for breakfast! The house is huge and looks recently renovated. I think that if you stay in summer, it will stay quite cool and dark inside. For us it felt a bit cold and dark and disjointed in early May. The house was clean, quiet and spacious. You can definitely stay here with 2 families or a family with older kids for example. The windows in the main bedroom are double glass, so you can keep out any noise from the early morning village life (it’s not loud, but there is a bit of bustle) and you can keep out all the morning light with the shutters. The second bedroom doesn’t have good windows, so my daughter did wake from the rooster and the cars, but does stay dark with the shutters. We didn’t sleep in the top bedroom, but I noticed that there are no shades on the roof windows, so if light bothers that may be an issue. It was totally fun and funky having a small pool in the house - our kid loved it. But make sure you ask the owners to turn the pool water heater on, as when we arrived the water was only 17 degrees. There is salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar, but you’ll need to bring your own coffee, tea, spices etc We had an issue with a not functioning water heater on Easter weekend - the owners replaced the water heater within a couple of hours, so that was great - thanks!

It was a bit cold and dark, but I think that that’s good for keeping cool in the summer
