Beech Cottage - Family Cottage in the Peak District

It was a lovely cottage, the owner is obviously a very thoughtful person, as you can see the kitchen is very well facilitated, I particularly liked the Condiment cabinet，such a sweet design is definitely for cook lovers. I also Liked neighbors there, they were so friendly and helpful.down the hill is the town center, so it’s very convenient for shopping and relaxation. I will return another day.

Just like the name suggests, it’s super cosy and warm and felt so homely. The decor is a bit random in places but it works so well all together. The views were great from upstairs and the location is really handy for getting food out, a supermarket nearby and accessing walks in the Peaks. The cottage was so well equipped, it had more than enough for what we needed for a long weekend and would make a great property for a longer stay. The children’s cutlery and plates were such a nice surprise, and really helpful to have. One of our favourite places to have stayed in ever, and a wonderful place to have brought our toddler to.

We loved it, so nothing we didn’t like personally but there are some things that other people might not like… it is a pet friendly property so there is a faint wet dog smell as you come in (but not noticeable once you’re in and hanging around in the property) and as it is a cottage, there are A LOT of steps. A blind for the front door might also be helpful (as it’s a bit scary coming round the corner when it’s dark outside and being faced with your own reflection).

Great little cottage, perfectly located for exploring the local area, including walkable into town. The house was clean and had a well equipped kitchen for cooking, including an impressive spice rack. We really appreciated the complimentary bottle of prosecco on arrival.

Not a grievance, but note that parking is on the road, though we were able to get a space directly infront of the property throughout the stay.

The cottage was very well equipped, shower was good, beds comfortable, prosecco and Nespresso a nice touch.

The duvet was not big enough for the largest bed, the sofa and chair only really sat 3 comfortably and 4 was a squeeze, lots of steps and level changes could be a problem for some.

Amazingly well appointed in fabulous location for all walks etc in the area.

The property was closer to the town than I expected, just a short walk away. The cottage is decorated well and everything you need is there ready for you. Milk and Prosecco and added bonus

Property was very clean, had almost everything (and more) needed for a stay. Everything very modern. Great location.

- Twin beds are pictured as an option for the main bedroom, and were requested, told possible, but not delivered. Then communication between hosts as to if the main bedroom could/couldn't be made a twin was confusing (was told no, but single duvets were present in the room). - Both dining room chairs are broken/a bit unsafe to sit on. - Property has lots of extra amenities in some things which weren't necessary, or expected, and were nice extra touches (i.e spices, kitchen items, plastic cutlery, binoculars etc), but then lacking basic others (a dishcloth, tissues). Seems to be a new on the market rental, so just needs to find the right balance :) - A bit of a welcome book would also be helpful (a couple of pub/food recommendations, where to find the WiFi router name/key (wasn't obvious), how to work the oven (was very new and complex), details about checkout (what was wanted with bins, bedding etc)), as one wasn't provided.

Everything you need , very clean and comfortable

Very nice and clean cottage. The beds and the pillows were very comfortable. The cottage is equipped with everything you need and more. Would book it again....highly recommend.

The roof of the flat, on the other side of the house, was made new in the time of our stay. There was a lot of dust coming in through the window. I think Tom, the owner of the cottage, should've told us about this when we booked. Other than that, there is absolutely nothing to complain.
