Beautiful one bedroom seafront apartment VPAL1-1

It was a great apartment with a fabulous view, as you can see in the photos. The location was super convenient too, only a 5-minute walk from the central bus station. I can say this is a "value for money" accommodation. However, I need to comment on the policy of the owners, which is why my review is 8. The owners require a deposit of up to €200 for damages to the apartment, which is reasonable. What doesn’t make sense is that we accidentally broke a vase in the living room, and we informed them immediately. Upon checking online, we found the same vase priced between €11 and €20 at most. However, they charged us more than that amount.It felt that they wanted to make a profit and it was not their intention to be compensated for the loss. While we were very satisfied with the Airbnb itself, we were disappointed with the policy regarding this issue.

Location was fantastic. Great views, well equipped, and close to the centre. Very good comms and instructions for all aspects.

Some smells from the drains, but not uncommon for properties in this climate.

Very spacious. It was great to have a washer and dryer. Nice view.

Water from the shower ran right up to the toilet. Had to remember to turn the power on for each outlet to make appliances work. Had to switch on the water heater switch to make sure we had hot water. The coffee maker a little different and required a particular sequence in order to work. The platform on either side of the bed made it difficult to get into bed and to make the bed. Quite odd!

The accommodation is lovely and clean, well equipped including coffee machine and capsules, with a beautiful view - I can only recommend it.

Our stay was made uncomfortable by the uncertainty of the deposit - there is an inventory book and price list in the accommodation which completely disagrees with the actual number of things, and there are a lot of do's and don'ts for which the deposit can be forfeited. The light bulb by the bed was completely missing, leaving only an empty socket plugged into the electricity. Despite informing the owner of this and even meeting with a member of staff during our stay, the bulb had not been replaced by the time we left. I would recommend the owner to have more friendly rules towards the guests so that they feel comfortable in the accommodation. Maybe I'm optimistic, but I assume the vast majority of guests are considerate and want to enjoy their stay and not ruin the room amenities :-)

Very good view from the balcony. The apartment was beautiful and clean. I can recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Malta.

Fantastic views and close to the city

The view from the balcony was amazing, this flat has kind of unique character, very stylish. Good value for money, easy communication with the host.
