Manulalu B&B

Beautiful location, very friendly and helpful staff. Beds comfortable. In other reviews, we noticed some remarks regarding the reek of sulfur and mold in the rooms we booked (we had standard room without view of the valley). That worried us a bit beforehand. But we only noticed the smell of sulfur outside every now and then, not in the room. And there was no mold in the room (the staff said this can sometimes happen due to the fact that it can be very hot and moist in this area) at all, it was basic, but very clean. Judging from the number of people who came to the Manulalu restaurant and bar from hotels in Bajawa, we surmise Manulalu is the best option in the Bajawa area. The food was excellent and the view from the balcony at the restaurant is stunning!

Something to dry the bathroom floor after showering so you do not get wet feet going to the toilet would be helpful. And the bathroom could be a bit cleaner.

We had an amazing stay at Manulalu. The rooms are super clean. Comfortable beds. Beautiful view from the accommodation. Delicious breakfast and dinner (also spectacular view from the restaurant, at the slope of Inerie mountain). The live music at the restaurant made the whole experience even more memorable. The staff were friendly and super helpful. We couldn’t be happier to have found this hidden gem!

Beautiful location with sweeping views. The b&b has a very quaint and quirky feel - with comfortable beds and warm bedding. Located close to local traditional villages and Malanage hot springs.

We felt the price is overall quite expensive for the quality of the room and what is included - barely warm water in shower, damp smelling room. At a minimum, free refillable water and access to tea/coffee should be provided at the b&b given the price. 1 small bottle per person and a shared kettle in common room is provided, but there was only 1 teacup and no tea/coffee. Small things like a lamp for side table would also be good.

The scenery was good. Very quiet at night. Food in the restaurant was good. Music at night was nice. Common area was nice-If there was WiFi there is would have been really good.

Room was pretty basic.

Good food at the terrace. Good location.

Room was damp with mold on the pillows. Lying on the sheets made your skin damp.

The view and having the loungeroom virtually to ourselves.

Not enough mugs were available. Being such a cold place and a walking distance in the dark to the restaurant, tea/coffee should've been provided for us to help ourselves to.
