Finest Retreats - Dart Retreat

Our stay at Dart Retreat in picturesque Stoke Gabriel was a delight. The house is spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet and very well equipped. The bathroom, with two showers, works well and the kitchen is fully equipped for self catering. The beds are comfortable and the patio entertaining area at the rear provides a pleasant and secluded outdoor space. Having a toilet downstairs is a handy feature. There is on site parking for one vehicle. Upstairs there are views of the River Dart in one direction and the village church in another. The two-storey maisonette is in a small group of ten and is close to the outstanding village store and post office and across the road from the convivial Castle Inn. The fabulous River Shack offering morning and afternoon teas and lunches is 200m away where the river meets the mill pond. The village of Stoke Gabriel itself is central to a plethora of interesting places in the South Devon area, and makes a great base from which to visit them.

Stoke Gabriel is accessed by narrow country roads - which presents some interesting driving challenges.

Beautiful location and so easy to get to the Mill Pond and River Dart The House it self well equiped and a great kitchen with a downstairs toilet handy also instruction book on Kitchen appliances had a nice garden and plenty of seats to sit on and garden well kept The local post offices also a grocery store had fresh produce, and staff lovely. Rear bedroom lovely and view was amazing View

Nothing really Parking is a problem in the area but easy to park at the entrance to court area

It was in a lovely location and was spotlessly clean. The decor and furniture were of a high standard and it was a perfect location for our holiday.
