The location and beautiful ambience and garden.

The cottage was nice with an attic room on top. Both rooms were cozy bit a little small It was difficult to climb up to the attic.

Tulsi, Mohan & team — you made Lahaul feel like home Gemoor Khar is not just a place to stay — it’s an experience that stays with you long after you’ve left. Mohan and his team set the tone from the moment we arrived. Warm, attentive, and genuinely caring — the kind of hospitality that doesn’t come from a manual. We felt at home almost immediately, which is saying a lot after a long drive through the mountains. But the real star of our stay was Tulsi. In our very first conversation, she somehow already understood what each of us was looking for. Not just as guests, but as a family — each carrying our own hopes and hesitations into the valley. My wife had come with a quiet fear of hill drives, and the winding roads through Lahaul had been playing on her mind. Tulsi sensed it without being told, and with patience and reassurance made her feel safe and at ease in a way that no itinerary could have planned for. My son had one wish — to hike. Tulsi made it happen twice over. A river hike along the valley floor, and then the climb up to the monastery in Tino village — a journey that had him wide-eyed the whole way. Watching a young child discover a centuries-old monastery perched in the mountains, guided by someone who knew every story behind every stone — that’s the kind of memory that shapes a child. Tino village itself was extraordinary. Walking through it with Tulsi as our guide, learning about the life, traditions and culture of the Lahaul valley from someone who truly lives and breathes it — that’s the kind of travel moment you can’t plan or book online. If you’re heading to Lahaul, don’t just drive through. Stay at Gemoor Khar, ask for Tulsi, and let the valley reveal itself to you — properly, personally, and at its own pace.

Food was ok. Rooms were clean.

We weren't given our choice of rooms. At 7k+ a nite the room given wasn't worth it. Not much views. We had stayed at better places at that price. The booking clerk Mr.Srini was of not much help and to be honest very argumentative and at one point was annoying. It's a bit off the road and forced to eat at their restaurant cause nearest shop was a good walk down and up the slope. Extremely disappointed with the value offered. If you want to stay at Jispa there are better places. Don't waste your time and money.

The location. The staff. The host Tulsi is very helpful and guides you on where one can do some sight seeing.

The food can be better.
