Liso’s Place Guest House

The place is not bad.

We did not have water in the morning when we were about to check out and they made it seem like it was our fault because we did not inform them. The lady is always trying to extort money. They mention on booking that there is a kitchen but when we got there we were told that to use the kitchen is R200 and there is no plates, pots or kitchen utilities so you have to come with your own and this was not mentioned on booking. You break a small saucer they tell you that you have to pay for a whole set which was the saucer and a mug not even considering that you are leaving the place without taking a bath because “they were fixing the water”.

I've never liked anything about this place. The treatment I received from the manager was hogwash and inhumane...

I booked the room for one night at booking.com and when I arrived at the premises, they told me that they were fully booked for the night and unfortunately I won't be able to be accommodated in their facility. Despite paying for the accommodation in advance, the owner refused to refund me my money back, claiming that my problems are with me and booking.com. He's got nothing to do with me or any refund since he doesn't work at booking.com. He went as far as leaving me behind in the guest house without resolving my issue. I tried calling him several times afterwards and he kept on hanging up the phone on me. I then contacted the booking.com and tried to resolve this issue with them. Afterwards I reveived an email from booking.com that they are still waiting for the manager to confirm my refund (I will attach the email). It's been two days and no refund confirmation. His leadership style was below par and inconsiderate. I traveled all the way only to be told when I arrive that the guesthouse is fully booked. Bad experience I have ever received from booking a place to stay. I had to search for a place to sleep in the middle of the night. The incident happened on the 24th May 2025.

The room was clean

The only thing that we dislikes was the noise, we couldn't sleep the whole night. And in the morning the staff was making alot of noise in the ams

Everything was perfect

I came early so it not their fault I didn’t get the room I wanted

It's a self catering stay, so there's a kitchen you can use to prepare your daily meals. The stay was interesting 💋

The fact that I had to ask for mops and broom to clean my room. I wish they had more for each rooms.
