When we entered the pub and tried to get eye contact to the people behind the bar to explain we have a booking for that night, we got ignored completely for several minutes. Except we seemed to be the aliens of the day for the regulars... Ok, we were probably a little dirty and stinky from the long days hike. Anyway, if the personal was busy, a single sentence "I will care of you in a moment" what have done the trick. Being ignored felt weird. But after that while the waitress took care of us and showed us to the room. After that, we had a proper stay and the room was good.

Friendly staff, good vibe, fair prices, nice comfy room which was good value. Great space indoor and out and decent menu. Food was lovely.
Nothing. The bathroom shower was quite a tight squeeze, but that is no drama and reflects that the building is old.

"Relaxing stay at the Ship Inn"

Clean, comfy room, friendly staff. Unintrusive attitude to our stay...just what we like. Excellent evening food. Great bar atmosphere. Felt right at home!
The only thing to look out for is the parking...and this of course has nothing to do with the Ship. Harbour parking available with pay & display. We were lucky enough to have our National Trust membership cards, so got free parking.
