USThe minor issue with this place was the bathroom. The towels smelled moldy and the ceiling of the shower was…missing? I didn’t snap a picture, but it was definitely unfinished. The major issue is that the city of Madrid is currently in a large dispute with short term rentals. The police came two different nights around midnight (we have a child and go to bed early) and banged on the door. The first time took quite a while and they seemed to just be gathering information- of which we had only what was on this site. The second time, they came with papers in hand, but left after we told them that they’d been here just 2 nights before. Both times, they informed us that this apartment is not registered and is illegal. We contacted booking.com after the first occurrence and have yet to hear back. We let the host know after we checked out, and never heard from them either.
