Old Shep's Shepherds Hut

Wonderful and special stay as walking into a little fairytale with inspiring hosts ♥️

The location was beautiful countryside, the surrounding buildings on the property so interesting and built by the exceptionally talented owners, The shepherd's hut had everything one required for a two night stay, quirky and comfortable, definitely ticked off our bucket list! What an amazing experience and lovely hosts.

Wouldn't change anything.

Cannot wait to return. This was one of the most magical stays of our lives. The hut in itself is wonderful and has been ingeniously built by the owner. It has everything you might need. Electricity, shower, toilet, mini oven, heater. The bed is very comfortable. It was very clean. Lovely view on the beautiful garden. I can't think of anything wrong to say about the hut. But beyond the hut, it is the owners and their property that made our stay. If you haven't stayed at the old shep's hut, you have never experienced the highest kind of hospitality. This lovely couple is incredibly kind, creative, inspiring, and love to share stories about the hut, their house (which they invited us to visit) and all of incredible retired carpenter (and talented gardener) Alban's creations. We were simply mesmerised and could not stop talking about our stay. We simply cannot recommend this place enough.

Cute, cosy, and comfortable

A beautiful, lovingly created Shepherds Hut in the grounds of the cottage . Awoken by birdsong and looked outside to see the prettiest sheep happily grazing. We arrived in the dark to the hut having been prepared for us, with the lights twinkling and the log burner gently smoking from the chimney-it was SO inviting. We slept so soundly and actually didnt want to leave. Angela and Alban are amazing hosts, giving us a tour of their grounds the next day, with all their truly wonderful creations, their beautiful and unique holiday cottage and their own home. A special, and very original place.

There is nothing to not like.

The hut is very cute and cosy and the garden and buildings are quirky. Central location for Wells and Shepton Mallet, also fairly close to Bristol airport. Shower attached to the hut, loo inside, log burner, kettle and the bed is super comfy. Suitable for one or two very small people

It wasn't very clean and hadn't had a good clean for quite some time.

N/A. Living in the delightful garden. Hut beautifully designed and maintained. Peaceful surroundings.

Toilet would be cramped for a larger person. We had no problem.
