Modern House In The Heart Of Morpeth

The location was good

There were so many issues with this property. We arrived and the key safe didn't work so we couldn't enter. We rang the number and text but no one answered for over an hour. We looked around the back and there was another key safe there, but in order to get through the 6ft gate you had to reach over the top and unlock the gate from the inside which was nearly impossible. When we got in it hadn't been cleaned, it took over 2 hours for the cleaners to arrive and another hour to clean. The bathroom door has no door handle, if you close it from the outside you can't open it, we had to put our hands under the door to try and pull it open. The living room light doesn't work and wouldn't turn off, the upstairs light didn't work and wouldn't turn on. The beds were very uncomfortable, and blankets on top of the duvets were dirty. There was no storage in 2 rooms at all, no shelves or drawers or bed side table, there is room for this. The curtains in the living room don't close so people could see in at all times. There was no soap in the bathroom or kitchen, hardly any cutlery and dirty glasses and mugs in the cupboards. The back yard was filthy and plants were growing through the door, you couldn't help but walk muck into the kitchen from the back yard. The property also smells of damp. The fire alarms were unplugged and on the windowsill in the living room.

Lovely little house,but needs ,some a few things fixed ,toilet lock was broken ,no banister and elderly friend struggled to get up the stairs ,could also feel tack in stair carpert ,lamp that couldent use as fell over when turned round ,curtains did not close properly in front room ,yard was covered in leaves and wher getting brought in house ,no brush to clean them up .

We entered by the back gate next yo the car park, saw the lock box which didn't open and had a mild panic before we thought to try the front acess which had another lock box

More mugs would be useful

In breach of many fire safety statutory regulations. Damaged unusable furniture had to sit on floor. Stair carpet so thin gripper spikes showing causing injury to granddaughters feet. Email sent to booking.com but no reply or action.

The TV came with Amazon Prime & Netflix.

The oven was dirty & smoked when turned on. There kitchen was poorly furnished. The bathroom looked dirty & the bath panel was broken. The curtains didn’t fit the windows properly. Some of the bed furnishings didn’t look clean.

Location, car park

No keys in lock box at back gate, phoned host to resolve. Lock on loo broken couldn't secure the loo door, no loo paper, no bath mat. No kitchen bin, no bin in the property. No manuals or guides for appliances, no wifi code. Heating was left on full, temperature was 82 on arrival ! Had to shut off quickly and open doors and windows. Freezer was jammed open by ice and melting on to the floor. Guttering was full of material blocking flow, and probably causing the damp smell in the rear bedroom.

Morpeth is well located we know the area, nice bath and shower facilitys. Was okay when the heating came on was difficult to work it but other then fairly decent.

The heating wasn't great, the neighbors in the street were rude, backyard small but was not a major issue.

Great location, warm, well equipped kitchen, good wifi, good shower. Good communication with owner.

Simple things are missing, ie coat hooks, a mirror downstairs, pictures, no hair dryer, the curtains downstairs did not fit the window and the bath panel was broken.
