Stylish & Cozy City Center Apartment by Prestige Homes

Pros: Very beautiful apartment, with an extremely pleasant layout and high ceilings. Ideally located for exploring Budapest on foot. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Hosts are available and responsive (however, care should be taken to avoid giving incorrect information: before our arrival, we were told we could leave our luggage in the apartment before check-in, but once there, we were informed that it had to be stored in a locker). The automatic door handle is extremely convenient.

Cons: Upon arrival, the apartment was not completely clean; the sofas, floor, and toilets needed cleaning (hair, crumbs, and other debris were present). There were yellow stains on one of the bath towels. Also, having only one bath towel for a one-week stay is not ideal. There was a very bad smell coming from the toilet. However, the bed and sheets were very clean. Only the bare minimum was provided upon arrival (no paper towels, no dishcloth, no cooking oil). The living room light does not work. Finally, the building is in very poor condition.

Apartment was okay.

The cleaner steals expensive items and the manager doesn’t seem to care. Stole one of my expensive rings and makeup setting spray and all the manager did was say that she didn’t when in actual fact, no one would ever admit to stealing.

The location of the apartment is fantastic, especially if you enjoy staying in the heart of the city. Cafés, restaurants, and markets are all right in the neighborhood, making it easy to walk everywhere you need to go. The apartment faces the street, which can get a bit noisy at times, but that’s expected for such a central area. The photos accurately represent the space, though a few elements, particularly in the bathroom could benefit from some renovation. Overall, it’s a convenient place to stay if proximity to the city center is your top priority.

One thing we didn’t like was the floor: it was extremely noisy and creaked with every step, which made moving around the apartment a bit uncomfortable, especially at night.
