Stylish Apartment for 5 guests - Grace House

Absolute, stressful and utter disaster booking it turned out to be. I could not stay in this terrible place and requested a refund. Besides the refund request, NO other compensation was offered from the host or booking.com leaving me and my family with no accommodation in UK (traveling from USA). Host: From the outset, the host, Timi David was unresponsive to several emails I sent him. After committing to provide a 'key code' by stating he would "shortly" after I explained arriving from U.S. with no immediate access to email or text, he did not do so. Even after promising to provide the key code at 3:00 pm local time, he did not! It was after I text him 10 minutes after 3:00, he finally sent the code. Apartment: a total disaster, nothing even close to "stylish apartment." When we finally arrived at the apartment, we found it completely unprepared. We found the beds unmade just as the previous occupants had left it, rooms were dirty and there were empty bottles, fast food packaging, empty drink bottles, and rubbish strewn around the sitting room. The kitchen was devoid of cooking utensils, proper cooking pans, and there was empty space for either a dishwasher/washing machine with wires and plastic pipe hanging out. It was evident that the host Timi David had completely failed in his responsibility to prepare the apartment despite the fact that we had booked months in advance. Also, a dishonest false advertising of its description and contents. Mr. David, feigned surprise that the apartment was not ready, did not offer any explanation as to why the property lacked all items described in the listing! When asked for a refund, he falsely claimed "it is up to booking.com" which booking.com when contacted later, refuted and said it was the property that had to issue a refund.

EVERYTHING from the host and his lack of communications, empathy or customer service. Then the issue of the property totally unprepared for our arrival and stay, the dishonest depiction of the property and lack of amenities, on booking,com and finally misleading comments about refund and no offer of any compensation for this disaster I had to look for a hotel at the last minutes and undergo a very expensive stay in UK for the 22 night.

Very spacious, tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The host was also very responsive.

The communication was great. Flat is really good
