Cheerful 2-Bedroom Cottage Near Eagle Lake

Owners gave clear instructions about getting access to property well in advance. Was also responsive via text. I needed a late checkout and they were very accommodating.

Quiet location, spacious for two people, good location if you want to spend time at Eagle Lake. The pictures were accurate and honestly reflect that the place is a bit funky, so no reason to complain about that. Price was good, but initial prices we saw would have been expensive for this place.

No internet for most of the time that we were there--only had it briefly twice around mid-day. The claim of internet service was an important reason for choosing this lodging option rather than others nearby. Not only was it disappointing and problematic not to have internet service, but I wasted a great deal of time trying to get the internet, and the TV service which only works of the internet, to work. If the host had been honest about the usual lack of internet, and poor quality during the brief times it did work, then at least we would have known what to expect. TV only worked for DVDs--even during the brief times we had internet service we couldn't get it to work for TV. The place was generally clean, cleaner than most lodging facilities, but the extra TP rolls were unwrapped and covered with dust and hairs (they were stored next to and below the toilet on an open shelf). Fortunately we had TP in the truck because we didn't want to use these dirty rolls. The mattresses were painfully hard for me, a side sleeper. I tried sleeping on the small bed some of the time which was slightly better but still very hard. Also, the sheets were very pilled so had to sleep with hundreds of little pills poking into my skin. Didn't get much sleep. The toilet took an extremely long time to fill, which could be a hassle. And the shower head spread the water out very wide and didn't adjust, so it's hard to rinse well down lower or for my wife to rinse her hair. The kitchen was generally well-equipped but there were no microwave cooking containers.

Clean, private and a good value. I appreciated having wifi which allowed us to send pictures of our trip to our friends and family. I would definitely stay here again. 👌😁☺️

Nothing was wrong with the property, we didn’t do our due diligence and check to see if the boat launch was usable but currently it is only for flat water craft. But we were able to use the low water ramp on the south side of the lake. But everything at the property itself was great.
