Host threatened to call Police. Banged on the door asking us to leave after asking for a refund due to water damage in the bathroom ceiling. Refund not processed immediately meant we had no funds and nowhere to stay. Host eventually let us stay as no refund showing to pay for 1 night, but said we better be gone by 8am as she had Police on standby. The worst experience ever as a guest. We were scared and in an unsafe home due to a medical condition caused by water damaged buildings, which can cause anaphlyaxis.
NZLovely well kept and appointed two bedroom flat attached to a main house but completely separate. Apartment had its own parking, entry and fenced outdoor space. Full kitchen, plus washing machine. Comfortable beds and a great set up for 4 adults to stay. Location is away from the CBD but very close to a major shopping mall and supermarket with food options close by, if required. Was super close to where we needed to be for the weekend so perfect location for us.
We had an issue the first afternoon with the air conditioner leaking water down the wall, messaged the host, who was very quick to reply and contacted an electrician who unfortunately wasn't able to come until after our weekend visit
