We spent Labor Day in a charming house tucked into a vineyard on the edge of Samobor, and it turned out to be the perfect escape. Just about 40 minutes from Zagreb’s center, it feels worlds away, surrounded by nature, right where the forest begins. The setting is calm and private, with fresh air, greenery, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. We made the most of it with a barbecue, good food, and even better company. It’s the kind of place where time slows down and simple moments feel special. A great spot if you’re looking to step out of the city without going too far.
