Il Casale di Luisa

Wir wurden von der Gastgebeberin persönlich und sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Zimmer ist groß und das Bad mit einer Badewanne ausgestattet. Es gibt einen Autostellplatz direkt am Haus, der Zugang wird durch ein Tor verschlossen. Das Frühstück am Morgen ist gut, es gab selbstgemachte Marmelade, Käse, Rührei und Schinken. Joghurt und Flakes rundeten das Angebot ab. Besonders schön war der Garten, in dem einige Sitzgruppen standen, die zum Verweilen einluden.

Zero praivacy. Camere divise da tende e i proprietari che abitano al piano di sotto che stando sempre fuori e ti senti osservato. Abbiamo rinunciato anche alla colazione (concordata insieme alla proprietaria durante la prenotazione e di presenza all'arrivo) ad un orario anticipato, causa partenza mattutina perchè la signora lo ha dimenticato e quindi siamo partiti senza far fare colazione al bambino.

Good location to visit places like Modica, Scicli and Ragusa. Also close to the coast with numerous beaches (Sampieri beach recommended; long and with very nice sand). Nice garden with a lot of place to rest. I asked for washing machine and so the hostess took all our washing and we found it back all clean and hanging to dry. That was very kind. The description of the room on booking.com is misleading. It said our room was to be 50m2 while at first we got a rather small room and when asked about it next morning, we were offered a second room behind the wall. That was very comfortable as finally we had two separate bedrooms, one for our daughter and one for us. Though it remains a mystery why we couldn't get two rooms straight after our arrival 😉

The description of the room on booking.com is misleading (there's no washing machine in the room or bathroom). Breakfast is prepared no matter what time you have it, scrambled eggs and bacon are hot though not freshly made for you. You just help yourself with coffee making and everything else. There's no bar or restaurant nor a shop nearby, you have to go by car to nearby Modica. The hostess doesn't speak English so if you don't speak Italian communication is a bit limited (Google translator 😉)

Stanza molto pulita e accogliente, con bagno privato. Buona colazione e la signora Luisa molto gentile.

Abbiamo soggiornato al Casale di Luisa e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Il luogo è spazioso e tranquillo, con una splendida piscina perfetta per rilassarsi. Le camere sono fresche e confortevoli, il bagno dotato di tutto il necessario. La colazione è davvero gustosa, arricchita da prodotti fatti in casa. La posizione è ideale: pratica per raggiungere facilmente il mare e le principali cittadine, ma al tempo stesso pacifica perché immersa nella campagna, lontano dal frastuono. Ma ciò che rende speciale questo posto sono le persone: accoglienti, gentili e sempre disponibili per qualsiasi necessità. Ci siamo sentiti come in famiglia.

We had a wonderful stay at Il Casale di Luisa in Modica. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, breakfast with local products was delicious, and Luisa & her husband are a warm and welcoming hosts. Highly recommended!
