The Icon 1 Bedroom Self Catering Apartment

The location and the grocery stores on the ground floor were great.

The bed was uncomfortable, and the bedding and towels were always damaged or stained. Worst of all, I have been waiting 3 months for my deposit to be returned.

The location was central and close my family, V&A Waterfront and tourist attractions.

The check in staff didn't know which parking was allocated to me thus I got clamped by the securities. I moved into an apartment with wet carpets in the living area and bedroom. The stove didn't work which took the host days to send someone to repair it as well as clean the carpets again which they didn't have a machine for drying. I had to purchase two heater fans for drying from my own pocket. Limited amount of cutlery and pots. The bed needs a new mattress, I was able to feel the springs. After the first clean up, I noticed blood brown stains on the bedsheets. When cleaners came to change the bedding and towels, we were given towels with holes in and blood on which was utterly disgusting. When I sent a message to speak to a manager, my messages were ignored both on booking.com and whatsapp.

Nothing!!! Over priced piece of garbage!!! The only advantage is that it is located in the CBD! But not worth it!!!!

Everything: Theee worst experience ever! From thee worst checkin process ever. In the listing it says someone will come check you in if you call or text 30 mins before and I had to wait 10 mins before someone told me to talk the security and he didnt even know where and what to look for... fastforward I'm directed to the pigeon holes and the damn thing is broken and anyone can just open it and the key is just there in the corner and you start thinking if you and your valuable are at any point in time safe???!!! Walk into the apartment: - Rags/Mat is nasty dirty - Door hands loose - Bed sheets (supposedly white) dull and dirty and burned - Ironing board is dirty and torn such that you'll never use it - Extra blanket - no duvet with a big yellowish stain in the middle on both sides - Extra pillows - No pillow cases - Dirt bin in the kitchen - No cover. You must deal with you rubbish as is - Dstv decover - Disconnected, there was no twin plug to connect it, I had to take a twin plug from the bed side lamp to connect it. - No Netflix or Showmax or even Youtube, so dont even waste your time - The actual bed - Old, the bedwires are out and its uncomfortable. - The checkin process is not well explained, no one comes to assist you cause you drive in via Building A and you actually stay in Building B. I spent 30 mins trying to get through the Parking lot, then to move to the lifts or rooms. Then when I did I could not find the room, I called the host, nowhere to be found. - Overpriced piece of garbage

Had hard time checking in host was not attentive, Wi-Fi didn’t work through out our stay

Very pleased after landing at the airport, sent a WhatsApp message to the owner, gave me instructions on what to do when I arrive to the apartment complex which I followed and they arranged for someone to meet me and show me around the apartment. The apartment was neat and clean and layout was better than the last time when I stayed booking through Icon Apartments. Stayed for a week and enjoyed my time.

The TV was a little small, not a big deal as I was out or sleeping. No sure about the washing machine, I tried to use it but did not have any joy in getting it to start, I would suggest a simple instruction note on the fridge next to the washing machine would help. Everything else was good.

Clean and safe. No noise - overall good value for money
