Dream Stays Bath - John Street Apartments

Great location, nice decor, friendly/ helpful staff.

Asked for extra bedding before our stay but it wasn't left in accomodation as requested, had to ask again on arrival at reception. Extra Quilt in cupboard was heavily soiled with stains so could not use. Had to use blanket and sheet instead, did report to reception and they were very apologetic.The rest of apartment was generally clean.No code was sent to access property so had to visit reception. Bedroom needed a new lick of paint ,wall was quite marked in places! Had trouble locking the front door , didn't realise the handle needed to be pushed up. Maybe a sign would be helpful on the door for future guests.

Central location, easy for check in and luggage. Car park nearby

Blind on window was tatty and broken, fold out bed was very uncomfortable and the apartment had an awful smell sadly.

Superb location and super cute apartment with excellent facilities. Really appreciated the generous proportions of the living area/kitchen

The lift was out of order but as we were staying on first floor this was a big deal. There was a notice saying it would be fixed.

The location was brilliant. The apartment was clean and bright and well equipped. The staff in the hotel were very helpful.

The key wasn't in the key box when we arrived so we had to go to the hotel reception where they found one for us. A few things needed to be reported but were dealt with promptly. We thought that the chairs in the lounge area could have been a bit more comfortable. Directions to find the apartment were not at all clear and the photo on Booking.com is not even of the road that the apartment is in.

Lovely apartment, modern , fresh looking ! really bouncy ,clean carpets ! love that! Kitchen equipment great love the matching kitchen colours, needs some small side plates!!! Not one ! only large bowls and large plates !perfect pillows ..mattresses need turning !dipping in middle .great location ...on a one way street with hardly any traffic coming down ...can quite happily open your windon with no noise really , but!........

Next adjoining building is having construction they were banging about 730 am ..not hammering .moving stuff and shouting to each other woke me up ..also the first day was banging all day and it's adjoined so ruined it for me ..WISH I WAS TOLD I WOULDNT HAVE STAYED...they moved me to beau street apartments ...wow what a smelly old place ..nowhere near the standard I was in ..I swiftly moved back was that bad! Had that old woman smell ! As soon as you opened the door made me feel sick ....new sofa new kitchen .new beds ..disgusting old 1970s decor not gutted out only put new things in not painted or floor new so whoever lived there for 50 years, you could still smell her !!!!!! WAS UNCLEAN..HAIR ON BACK OF DUSTY HEADBOARD ..SMALL HAIR ON SHEET, 3 DIRTY PLATES 2 DIRTY CUPS AND A DIRTY GLASS, DISGUSTING DIRTY KNIFE BLOCK, AINT BEEN CLeaned for months...floor not ideas socks were dirty one hour after walking round cleaner just skimmed floor didn't actually clean it .I requested mop to do myself.. tried to talk with tom who was very helpful .at first but failed to mention the standard difference of new apartment or send me pictures ..so waste time that was..would not give me any refund if any sorts for compensation . ..had to complain through booking .com.they offered me half nights stay back ... had he originally done so maybe this review would have not been so honest ...but he was very firm in his decision....I even saw the hair on the head board I called him over ..still did not offer me nothing refused when asked . .would I stay here again .. ABSOLUTELY! ITS A GREAT PLACE I REALLY LOVE IT , DONT THINK THEY WOULD BE HAPPY IF I STAYED HERE AGAIN ..BUT I WILL IM ONLY TELLING THE TRUTH ... CONSTRUCTION IS COMING DOWN SOON.. BUT THEY REALLY NEED TO IMPROVE ON CLEANING THE SUPERVISOR CLEARLY NOT SUPERVISING!!!!! ALL NEEDS TO BE CHECKED AFTER EACH CLEAN..EVERY ROOM TALES FIVE MINS PER PLACE ...PLATES .CUTLERY ..HEADBOARDS.. FLOORS..CORNERS OF ROOMS ...

Good location and very clean

Lift out of order, we were on the top floor, they should warn people (apparently the lift has been out of order for some time). Building works going on right outside our bedroom window, drilling and noise all day long from 08.00! Broken blinds on the sitting room widow (student dig vibs) which we had to report and take photos of just in case we were charged for damage. I did message the office to report the issues, they said management would look into the issues and contact me, a week later still awaiting a response. Really not a good stay!
