"Beautiful surroundings, perfectly located to explore Northumberland"

Very comfortable and well thought out accommodation with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. Lovely linen and towels and bathroom products too. We loved sitting in bed watching the birds at the feeder. We were in the area to visit family nearby, but Shieldhall is perfectly located to explore Northumberland with loads of things to visit nearby (Wallington, Belsay, Kirkharle are a very short drive away, and it's not too far to Rothbury, Alnwick, the coast or Hadrian's Wall)

"What a find!!"

What a find! From the communication prior to our stay to the checking out everything was beyond what we expected! The property is absolutely stunning and part of a gorgeous renovated property. The grounds were just wonderful and my mother and I had the most beautiful evening walk round the property's field - scenery was breathtaking. I was running the GNR and Sarah and Jason had left me a lovely welcome note and bath salts for my legs which was such a lovely touch. Before we went to bed we went to shut the blinds in the bedroom and 4 or 5 hens had popped round to say goodnight in the garden - was the cutest thing!

That we weren't staying longer!
