"It was a nightmare especially as I needed to relieve my body after running comrades marathon"

The facility is dirty, full of crocroches and spiders, beds are a nightmare mattresses are old very discomforts and sloppy. furniture is broken not taken care. the place is unhygenic and full of pests needs to been inspected by Health and Safety Department for further operations

"Bad holiday experience ever."

Nothing to talk about.

Poor service. Noise. Worn matress, cockroaches. toilet leaking , lack of urgency to address issues experienced on time from staff , had a very unpleasant stay. Couldn't wait for the morning

"Too many faults, still expecting compensation from the hotel."

No electricity when I arrived, for 24h!! Staff couldn't find my booking. No back up electricity. After 1h they gave me a room with dirty pink towel, no toilet paper, leaking fridge. Pitch dark everywhere, stumbling around, asked for a candle/lamp, was promised one within 15 min, but never received any. Finally, close to midnight electricity back on, but no internet, was told password in the room, but not true, asked neighbour, but the same thing, finally got a different password, but during my entire stay of 5 nights the internet was on for 2 min, then off, on, off, on, off, absolute rubbish and unusable, could not reach my friends. Also, had asked for a quiet room, but instead they put me next door to a metal and scrap company/garage, with hard workers, who were working constantly and throwing fridges, metal, cupboards, plastic, steel etc. in big containers all day and night, what was the staff thinking?! Also, they took 50 ZAR in deposit for key but never handed it back to me when I submitted them my key. I have written to the hotel and asked for compensation, but have not heard a single word back from them. Instead, they keep on sending me automatic feedback mails. Ignorant and provocative customer service. Talked to another Comrades runner at the same hotel, who was upset and told me similar experience. Very bad for the mouth to mouth reputations. I'm still waiting for a compensation from the hotel, serious discount if same stay next year.
