The apartment has great potential - it is large, modern, and well equipped, and air-conditioned. It has one (but only one!!!!) free parking space which is very important in this neighborhood, where parking is very hard to find.

The apartment's listing was deceptive, and the reality was very different - and much worse - than what we thought we were getting: First, the room was listed as one of many rooms in a "Haneviim Botique Hotel". But such an hotel does not actually exist. The "room" we ordered is actually one of several rental apartments in a large building owned by different people. The fact it's not an actual hotel meant there was nobody on-premises to handle any of the problems we had during our stay. It also meant that the promise that this "hotel" has "free parking" was not exactly true - the single apartment I rented had exactly **one** parking space. But room was for 8 people, so we came with two cars, and it took us 2 hours (!) and 290 shekels a night to find park place for the second car - the parking in that neighborhood was a nightmare. Meanwhile, the building had dozens (!) of free parking spaces, but since, again, this isn't an hotel but just a single owner's apartment, and this owner has just one parking spot. The second disappointment was that the listing claims this "hotel room" has beds for 8 people, each room supposedly having a double bed plus a single bed. It turned out those single beds are actually mattresses on the floor, with hardly enough room in each room to even place them on the floor. Even our 10-year old found it really disappointing to sleep on the floor right next to her sibling's high bed - an adult would have found this experience insulting. I'm not saying that mattresses on the floor are not something that could be acceptable - but this must have been written clearly in the listing of the (not-)hotel room. The third disappointment was the level of upkeeping of the apartment. Two (!) of the three bathrooms in the apartment - this number is necessary in such a big apartment for 8 people - were unusable. One had a faucet that simply did not work (no water).

everything was excellet and exceeded oure expectations! the apartment was clean, spacious, wellequipped and even suited religious families. the beds were big and comfortable, we had extra blankets and pillows, the living room was huge and cozy. the kitchen offered everything we needed (note: the kitchen has an induction stove). the location is excellent: it's close to jaffa street, close to mamila street and the western wall and has great public transportation access. the street is also quiet so there's no noise at night.

The apartment was exceptionally clean and modern. I particularly appreciated the laundry machines in the bathroom. The location is great, a short walk from the center of town. The owner was very responsive. Overall, this was a great apartment.

The apartment is on the first floor and is close to very noisy equipment outside, which meant the windows and balcony door needed to stay closed to keep the noise out. Some of the instruction were difficult to follow.

The unit was a decent size. The building had a security guard.

We were extremely disappointed with this apt. The description on booking.com failed to state that the unit did not have hot water throughout the day. Had we known this, we would have never booked this apt. We attempted to shower and there was no hot water. After getting soaked in cold water, I jumped out and had to message them to try to figure out what the problem was. Turns out you have to press two different buttons in two different locations of the apt. at least 40 minutes before showering. Not only did they not give notice of this on the website listing, but they also failed to inform us when we arrived or post any instructions about it. Needless to say, having to plan your showers when you are on vacation is extremely inconvenient. We had our son's bar mitzvah that day and had to take freezing cold showers. Later on, when we brought this up with booking.com and the manager, the manager/owner "Le Bosphorus Al Madinah" replied that we were the only people to complain about this and told booking.com that "they are the kind of people that just don't want to pay." This was extremely offensive and rude. This apt was a complete rip off. I had booked a very similarly sized unit in the same building that turned out to be nicer and cleaner with AirBNB for a few hundred dollars less, and they did not have this hot water situation. There was access to hot water and there was no need to press any buttons 40 minutes before. Additionally, the unit and hallway smelled musty. The location was also inconvenient to get and vans and buses would not go up the street so we had to take our luggage out of the bus and get two cabs to get there. It's also at least 20 minutes of a walk to get food which makes it hard when you need to get something. This apartment was not worth it in the end.We could have had a very nice hotel for the same price or gotten a better apt in the same building for much less.
