Location is very good, 400m from Piazza del Duomo, the fish market, and the adjacent cluster of bars and restaurants. Interesting old building, quiet. Some noise from the bedroom balcony, which is one level above a side lane, but closing the door muffles it effectively. Well equipped apartment. Drinking-water filter. Lemon tea (coffee machine capsules) was really good. It would work well as an 'entire apartment'. But it is not.

Other reviews mention a super-friendly host. I did not encounter this person. Security camera/s inside the apartment, used to monitor guests. Constantly. Soon after first looking at the visible camera, I received a timely WhatsApp message: "the common entrance area is under video surveillance to ensure that those who access the facility are those who provided us with the documents." Late night WhatsApp message, just after my bedtime security checks - "I remind you not to lock the entrance door!". But I had not, in fact, locked the entrance door. (That camera was beginning to creep me out, though.) Received an ALL CAPS REBUKE for breaking the house rules. Trouble is, I was never supplied a copy of any house rules. Still have no idea what the house rules are, apart from "KEEP THE [internal] WINDOW SHUTTERS OPEN AT THE ENTRANCE". Private bathroom is external, at the end of the narrow hallway. The two bedrooms are opposite each other at one end of hallway, bathrooms at other end, 7m - 10m away. (The reviewer that said "literally 3 steps" must have alarmingly long legs. Literally.) Listing stated "Each unit is fitted with a terrace offering city views". There is no terrace. Nothing resembling a terrace. Each room has only a small balcony completely filled with the aircon unit and a small steel chair. 'City views' are entirely the wall of the building 5m away across the laneway. All that said, there is nothing wrong with the unit, just misrepresented. I wouldn't book again, because internal "security" camera/s and intrusive host. If you don't mind any of that, the apartment is fine.

I like everything about my stay in Catania. This place was cherry on the top of our trip to Catania. Our host, Gracia, was the most hospitable person I have ever spoke with. The day before our trip we got all informations about how to enter the place, everything was written down in details and she took the time to leave the photos to make it more easier to understand. As overthinker I really appreciate it. ☺️ The place is in the center, 2-3 minutes from the main square. It smells so nice and that's the very first impression that we had when we walked in. The room is small, but it has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The bed is very comfortable. The balcony is small, useful and super cute! When I read reviews I had concerns about the bathroom, but now I can tell that some people are definitely overreacting and making drama over nothing. The bathroom is outside the room, literally 3 steps apart, which is very convenient. It is private, you get your own key for it and it gives you a better sense of privacy than if it is in the room. If you could be more in the center of the city, you would be situated in the Cathedral, that is how close everything is. Value for the money is absolutely exceptional. I would highly recommend this place.

In the heart of the city, spacious flat, recently renovated and very nicely done with elements of luxury. Very clean. The host was always available and responding quickly.

I was disappointed by the fact that the second half of my stay there were NO coffee capsules. Come on, you have designed the accommodation with elements of luxury and yet you don’t provide coffee for half of the stay? When I asked the host simply said that they run out of coffee capsules…. Very casually…. To be honest I would have given the properly 10 but because of the coffee capsules I give it 9. There is one more thing that I noticed and also justifies my score of 9 and even maybe less - there was a bath tub but one could not take a bath because the bathtub was not closing, so in fact one can only take a shower. These are not small details….

It was in the city center, amazing location. It was clean and the owner was really helpful and nice.

The barhroom is outside the room, but that is ok.

It was place quilt. But the owner was very rud. First she tell us that holding the bags. Then she tell us no we need to used her transport. Her transport is 20 euro by bus is 8 euro. Yesterday we didn't have light many time we call but late she connected us

The shower was very bad smell. Never again in this place. For sure I don't recommend Tks to her nerbiour because was very nice
