A bit far to walk to many places but if you had a car it’d be perfect.
GBThe property was in a good location, and was a 10-20 minute walk from a variety of beaches (you need to ascend/descend a steep staircase to access the beach area so perhaps not entirely accessible for those with mobility issues). The host was friendly and attentive.
The property includes an adjoining door with the host’s own household. Whilst this is not a particularly big issue, we were not expecting this to be a feature (as it is not mentioned in the listing) and the separating door between the properties is only an internal wooden door, so is not very sound proof. We were able to audibly hear the host and their co-habitants clearly which at times was off-putting and disruptive at night. The shower took a long time to heat up and at times the hot water supply completely stopped. Whilst the property is located close enough to the main town of Cefalù, the primary access options to the town are (1) via the main road which has no pedestrian path and may be seen as dangerous, especially at night when it is poorly lit, or (2) via a steep bank and multiple flights of stairs which, again, are poorly lit and not well suited to those with poor fitness or mobility issues. Finally, we occasionally smelt a strong odour of “recreational substances” coming from the neighbours, which didn’t bother us but may offend some occupants. There were also some ad-hoc building works occurring next to the property and designated parking space which were not particularly appreciated during the mornings.

NZThe host was delightful, helpful and generous - the outdoor area was great. Just a 10 min walk to the beach and 30min to the centre of town plus free parking on site..
