GBThe apartment was very comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The situation of the building is quite exceptional in being surrounded by ancient buildings and streets, and having many unusual features such as 17C fireplaces.
Facilities and equipment to enable guests to clean and wash up! There was only one dishwasher capsule, and no dustpan & brush that we could find. Scourer sponges for the sink would have helped. Car parking was not easy given the iconic situation.
GBWelcoming and friendly owners. A Christmas tree in the apartment! Full-size oven to cook Christmas dinner. Great cafe downstairs. Plenty of room for 2 people - good bathroom, attractively furnished apartment, sofa, TV, dining table and chairs. Centrally located in Topsham so close to river/estuary walks, restaurants, pubs, antiques centre and shops. Looking forward to doing it all again next Christmas with hopefully several more visits before then too.
The stairs are steep (the building is old) so we had to be very careful when carrying the turkey downstairs to take to our family Christmas dinner.

The only issue is the parking situation as although it’s free from 6pm - 8am it means paying quite a lot out of those hours ( and waking up before 8 to pay !) Still that is not the fault of the property

Very inconsiderate people in apartment above having loud row at 3am which went on for a long time. Totally out of the control of the host but made sleep impossible
