Nothing after the rude behaviour by the male owner towards me as a woman, a day before Women’s Day

- Cold: Room was 15C, you can’t control the heating as the owners switch off the central system, ice cold floor (obliged to take off your shoes) - Poor hygiene: blood stain on the duvet, a basket of dirty disposable slippers, a bucket of cigarette butts at the front door, no toiletries except hand soap -Zero privacy and quiet: no other guests in the house, but the owner put us up in a room next to his “Massage Room”, which has NO DOOR - it’s basically in the corridor and everything can be heard -VERY rude owner - you are NOT their valued guests: We came back from hiking in the cold tired with a headache, and I asked if the massage next room could be more quiet; the owner “explained” rudely to me that “it’s 6pm not 11pm and it’s MY house”; I suggested to move rooms which he refused -Breakfast with stale bread was poor, but we could not even have that in peace, as the male owner came AGAIN to pick up an argument about my request from the previous night, he intimidated me saying things like: “ I’m talking to you” etc. I could not wait to leave this B&B.

Breakfast was wonderful as Stefano made to order.. All the food was local and fresh. The location was spectacular. As we are from Northern California, it reminded us of Yosemite..But less people .. We attended a wine festival attended by roughly 20 people and afterwards we were invited by the hosts to join them. Since we are both in the wine business, we fit right in… Stefano could not have been more gracious. He recommended many restaurants and places to hike…He was very pleased to announce we were the first visitors from America, and especially happy that were from California…
