Location was perfect for what we wanted. Beds were comfortable although narrow for an adult. Bathroom was nicely decorated and clean.

Never before have I had to give ID and pay a deposit when booking through Booking.com. I have given card details to be held if a housekeeping deposit was required, for if I had left the property damaged which is acceptable but now I have to wait for the deposit to be returned, 5 to 10 days which is not acceptable for everyone to manage financially. First impression outside did not bode well. A line of bins and messy entrance path with unattended garden and pile of leaves at the doorway. The rear garden was in need of attention. The property itself was clean unless you look in the cupboards both storage and kitchen cupboards were messy and smelly. The heating downstairs was non existent making it freezing but upstairs it was so hot even after we found the switch to turn it all off the radiators were still on full blast, even all night. The sofa's and dining chairs were so uncomfortable non of us could sit on them for long but as it was cold it didn't matter, we moved upstairs, opened the windows and got as comfortable as possible. The blinds were broken and table lamp placed on the floor. The beds were clean and comfortable but very narrow for an adult. The bottom sheet did not always fit and were along with the duvet covers very creased making them look uncared for. As they were zip linked beds it would have been nicer for them to be linked together. The curtains had not been hung with care, which made them messy and impractical. I did fix them which helped. The carpets upstairs had stains and needed a clean. The kitchen was very basic and didn't make us feel we wanted to cook in it. The bathroom was nicely decorated but the used toiletries and barely any toilet paper was disappointing. The property is quirky and has potential but cosy it is not and lots of details and home comforts are missing. It wasn't finished, or dressed nicely as we expected for a holiday let. Glad we only stayed 2 nights would have asked to be removed if it had been any...
