Perfectly Coastal - Central Apartment with Castle Views and minutes to Old Town

Location was good. Excellent communication from owners. The 'treats' left were very much appreciated.

Stairs up to the apartment. However we were advised of these and shared the bag carrying.

Perfectly clean and smart flat with small details by the owners to make the stay all the more warm and welcome.

Apartment was modern and clean,

The smell when you entered the building and the stairway. Lack of fire escape signage. Continual noise of sea birds. The lack of information about the walk from the station is a steady upward walk, and elderly people would find the walk difficult. So, in summary, I find some of the information about the property and getting to it slightly disingenuous.

The interior was nicely set up and quite comfortable with good kitchen facilities.

The two steep sets of stairs! This is not mentioned on the apartment’s information. We would not have booked if we had known. The bed’s mattress needs replacing and is not an extra large bed (king) but is a queen. The unrenovated exterior hallway of the complex is dirty and smells quite badly.

The bed was really comfortable (hard foam mattress with good pillows). The kitchen had everything I needed (kitchen roll, cling film, salt and pepper) and everything was labelled. Nice views from the living room and kitchen. The flat was very clean and could tell it was well looked after. Hosts were responsive on Booking.com app and sorted out parking permits for me.

The common parts of the building are horrible, but I doubt there is anything the hosts can do about that. Once you are in the flat though, it is so nice you forget about the common parts. I would stay here again if I came back to Hastings.

We spent our Christmas holiday at Aurelie and Adrian's home, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. They went above and beyond by preparing Christmas decorations, gifts, and a lovely greeting card for us. The house itself was impeccably clean, well-organized, and equipped with brand-new amenities. It felt just like home—warm, cozy, and incredibly inviting. The location is very convenient, with everything we needed within easy reach. The heating was excellent, the kitchen facilities were fully equipped, the sofa bed was spacious, the decor was beautiful, and the carpet was comfortable. Aurelie and Adrian were also incredibly responsive to our messages and promptly helped us with the washing machine issue. This is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at, and I highly recommend it to everyone. We had a wonderful and heartwarming Christmas here, and we are grateful for such a perfect holiday stay.
