Homestay close to the hospital and Alton Towers with resident dog and cat

Excellent value for money. All you could ask for in an inexpensive, check-yourself-in room with shared bathroom. Clean, comfortable and a kettle and coffee etc provided. Friendly emails beforehand to explain key lock-box, etc, though I only met the cat during my stay, who tolerated my presence slightly nervously! Large drive for the car. Excellent shower.

Perhaps needs a sign saying bathroom on the bathroom door, though it is perhaps obvious from being the one door without its own lock.

The bedroom is extremely cosy and the bed is very comfy. Louise is a lovely person and very welcoming. Great value for money!

The property was great. Just that the dog was unfortunately not there! 😂

For all those of you who want to have a taste of a people-first approach again, be sure to book a night’s stay at Louise’s. Despite her busy working schedule, she manages to make you feel straight at home. You have to love animals because there’s an incredibly cute dog (that doesn’t bark or jump), and a young cat called Chris. But their presence only adds to the homely feel. The room is clean and nicely decorated, the bed large enough to enjoy a good night’s sleep with your partner, or indeed on your own because the fee you pay here is reasonable fair (unless you’re on a very small budget). The bathroom is spotless, newly installed and you can also make use of other facilities (the kitchen) when Louise’s not around. Well done Louise. Thank you for having us. Was really nice and clean, although we did not meet the owner she did keep us up to date with everything we needed to know ticket all the boxes.
