Buffalo River Misty Creek Lodge

Beautiful scenery! Plenty of space for our group of 8. If you're looking for a complete getaway from it all, thumbs up. It's at least a 20 min drive to anything and there is zero cell service. Wifi provided and they have a roku for streaming, if you want to watch something. They left a lot of notes around the house to help us navigate and find things. Directions for getting into the gate and house were spot on. It is right off the creek so you just walk down the hill, through another gate and you're there. Propane grill. There is a fire pit (firewood provided) with a cooking apparatus and roasting sticks. Hot tub was small but relaxing.

The house is a little hard to find even with the map they send. Only because it looks like you should drive farther up the hill after turning off the bridge. We drove around once and then almost missed it a second time. I alerted the rest of the group it was an immediate right after turning and it looks like you're going to drive into a field, and they still had a hard time finding it. It took us a little bit to find the 2nd king bed. We didn't realize there was a separate room outside the house. House needs some patches and maybe a few updates but it was comfy. It smelled like cigarette smoke when we first got there. We ran out of toilet paper and couldn't find more. It was the day before we were going to leave and we brought some just incase so we didn't bother the cleaning lady.

The location is perfect. You can go to so many cool places nearby.
