Wester Curr Cottage - Luxury 5-Star Cottage with Private Pool & Hot Tub

I have stayed here a few times now. I used to live in the area so it is a great base to meet with old friends. I am a water baby so the pool is great especially this year as I was using it for physio. Lovely garden with outdoor furniture. There was a welcome basket left for me and there are lots of books with details of the area and wildlife. Watched the red squirrles and birds while having breakfast. There is a walk from the house to the Speyside Heather Centre which has a good cafe for lunches and cakes. Great view of the Cairngorms and the Speyside Railway at Broomhill is across the road. Grantown-on-Spey is 3 miles away for shops. I have already booked for next year.

Not much to be honest. I am allergic to feathers and the sofas are feather filled which meant I couldn't use the living room as much.

Great facilities and very well equipped throughout.

Nothing regarding the property itself but the turning area was blocked by parked cars towards the end of our stay.

The property was well equipped with everything that you needed. The layout was good. Excellent views of the mountains.

The road into the property was a bit tricky especially if you have a wide vehicle just needed to be careful when going to the property quite steep and had to do a 6 point turn to get back out, so wouldn’t be suitable for disabled people as it’s quite steep to the property.The garden wrapped around the property but could really have done with a fenced area for dogs as they could easily run off in the bushes.

It was very clean and had everything you could possibly ask for . The location was beautiful and the walks around the woods very magical.

One of the double beds mattress was a bit hard.

This place is absolutely amazing everything you need to cook amazing views of the Cairngorms, steam trains going by different types of birds in the garden. Heated spa pool and heated jacuzzi was awesome, beautiful walks. The cottage was very clean and spacious grantown only a ten minute drive very friendly owners that are very helpful. A truly amazing place to stay with no faults at all perfect.

Loved everything about this property. We couldn't fault a thing. The surroundings , the wildlife , the decor , the pool . The property is decorated to a high standard, every kitchen utensil you could need , the homely feel and elegant touches and attention to detail just made it The perfect visit. The weather didn't even deter us , it didn't matter a bit , between the pool and the red squirrel that visited the feeder table outside the kitchen window, which was like a screen to Scottish wild life at its best. The local walks at annagh woods, amazing and the beautiful Spey river just beyond the garden , with a gorgeous woodland walk at the end of the drive was fab for a dog daunder too. A short drive away are local shops and bars , should you need any extra bits and bobs. We will definitely pay another visit !
