Ealing Broadway Great Stay 7-Minute Walk from the Underground

Location was great. Simple room with private bathroom

Instructions on booking were SUPER unclear - whole reason of booking through Booking was to avoid any hidden costs etc but we had to put down security deposit and share personal details (driver license). The room was clean but the facilities poorly maintained There was no curtain in the bathroom so easily seen! No tea making facilities I had to call the company several times to get the booking information shared- extremely stressful and at one point they told us (at 9pm!) that our booking had been cancelled only then that they'd made a mistake

Check in was smooth and easy. The property was in a nice location with good transport links.

There was no hair dryer provided despite one being listed as available in the amenities in the booking advert. One was eventually provided after asking the team for one multiple times over the span of a few days. The fridge in the shared kitchen reeked of rancid milk. The door of the upstairs shared bathroom is faulty. The handle fell out of the door while one of us was in the bathroom, getting them stuck inside.

Pros: The property is in a great location, very close to Ealing Broadway station, and the rooms/common areas were very clean. The cleaning staff were also the only people who showed empathy and genuinely tried to help during our stay.

However, the biggest issue was that the room had absolutely no proper ventilation or windows, which became unbearable during a very hot weekend. Multiple guests were sitting outside most of the day because the rooms became extremely uncomfortable. What made the experience worse was how poorly the situation was handled by the administration team, especially Joy. When I politely requested a fan due to the lack of ventilation, I was rudely told that it was “not listed in the amenities” and therefore could not be provided. I was then told that if another guest was not using theirs, one might be available — which clearly meant fans had been given to others upon request. The response felt dismissive, inconsistent, and completely lacking in hospitality or flexibility. I ended up spending most of the day outside trying to cool down because staying in the room was unbearable. A property with no ventilation should at the very least handle guest comfort requests with basic understanding and professionalism.
