Cragdale Barn - Charming Cottage In The Yorkshire Dales

Perfect little cottage. We were welcomed with a pint of milk, loaf and some butter. There was tea, coffee and sugar too. Beds were super comfortable. We arrived on the Friday afternoon, directions were spot on. Our car fitted in the courtyard and my brother parked in the very reasonable carpark just behind the cottage. It was perfectly located for our Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge the next morning, only took about 10 mins to drive to our starting location. We all appreciated the lovely hot water when we got baths and showers following our challenge and there are some great pubs just a hobble away. Would definitely recommend.

Was great, lovely wee house. Only little quibble was I wish the bathroom had a shower screen rather than a horrible curtain.. The rest of the house is so thought out with loads of lovely touches and I think the bathroom needs that extra touch too. But it was so nice I could live there lolol was so comfortable.

The noise from next door neighbours constantly going in and out ( is there really a need for a gate?) if there was no gate there would be no noise.. Also I was a bit conscious that I coukd be seen when sitting in the kitchen as no blinds or windows covered etc

Absolutely superb property - probably best place I've ever stayed. Fantastic location, stupidly clean, great facilities and lovely little touches provided like milk and bread provided. Comfy beds with a great shower, moments from the village centre. The host Matthew had great communication. Really enjoyed staying here, fantastic luxury!! Great base if you are attempting the Yorkshire three peaks.....

Great location in a lovely area

The on-site parking is not guaranteed as it’s reliant on a space been available in the street but there’s a pay and display car park 5min walk away.

Accommodation was exceptionally clean and comfortable with good facilities. Only thing missing was iron & ironing board and perhaps small side table to stand drinks in living room. Also no vanity mirror at suitable hight for hairdrying, make up etc.

Outside space / seating advertised at rear of property but felt like intruding as you were sitting directly under ground floor window of adjoining property.

Great location. We had a lovely stay. Lots of nice places to eat. Everything was excellent.
