Deluxe family beach apartment with lagoon view at Pico de Loro

Room was nice. Most prices were okay. Beach was fantastic especially during the day when most people were staying inside. See maybe 4 others swimming at noon. Staff were friendly, shuttle service was very convenient. Food was good to exceptional. Beach bar food was good, lagoua needs improvement, pico sands restaurant was fantastic.

Staff were friendly but often ignored me to address my filipina wife rather than speak English to me.

The unit is big and well maintained, clean and comfortable. Big balcony with a wonderful view on the lake . Conveniently located just between the club and the beach. Fully equipped kitchen. The staff is so kind and welcoming.

Booking a table for lunch and dinner in any restaurant is advisable, it can get really crowded. There's only one shop with not many options and it only works until 6pm .

We had such a wonderful stay here! The accommodation was cozy, very comfortable, and perfectly suited to us. It even had two smart TVs in the room, a selection of board games, and showers with both hot and cold options, which made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable. The lagoon view was beautiful, and all the amenities we needed were complete. On top of that, the owners were extremely kind and accommodating, which made us feel so welcome. Overall, it was such a memorable experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back again!

Aircon in the living room started dripping water, so need to be fixed. There are a couple of buckets to catch rain outside the front door ( an issue with the condominium, rather than the apartment).

We really love how homey and welcoming this place feel, everything is so well kept and tidy. We never felt bored because every room was packed with entertainment like board games, classic DVD movies, and books that kept us happily entertained the whole time, specially when the weather is not so favorable outside. The owner and caretaker were approachable is just one message away whenever we had any concerns or needed assistance.

The rooms were clean and tasteful, and the staff was pleasant. The outside grounds and pond area were pretty.

While the condo unit was nice, the walls were very thin and we could hear barking dogs, chairs being moved above us, and other noises. This woke us and our baby up a few times. Plus, the building needs a renovation, it is showing its age. It is one of the most expensive side resorts in the area and we expected more for our money. Food options at the resort were extremely overpriced, with horribly slow service and hardly any healthy options. There are no restaurants outside the resort compound, so you need to bring your own food if you choose to stay there. The country club/recreational area was ok, but overcrowded. For example, it was impossible to find a chair by the pool.
