Beautiful garden and colonial architecture

Too isolated and the rooms were too noisy you could hear the conversation of other guests and the steps as people were walking in and out

We are a queer couple and we were nervous about finding a safe and welcoming place to stay in Peru. The Sonesta Posada proved to be welcoming and exceeded every expectation. We felt comfortable and supported the entire three weeks we were there. The staff were the highlight. They talked with us every day, helped us book taxis at reasonable rates for longer trips, and even surprised my wife (who was studying for her medical boards) with cake and note of encouragement. When we left, they gave us two t-shirts and a painting of the hotel - such a thoughtful gesture. Our room was spacious, had a mini balcony with beautiful mountain views (even though we hadn’t booked a balcony), and the shower had strong, hot water. The Wi-Fi was excellent, which made studying and working easy. Housekeeping was great, room service was quick with good options, and the breakfast buffet had a ton of variety. The grounds were peaceful and well-kept. We studied every morning at the big wooden garden table, surrounded by flowers, with staff often bringing us hot water for tea and asking how studies were going. The hotel is in Yucay which is very close to Urubamba. We are super comfortable using the combis and we could just grab one off the main street in front of the hotel, but we also saw other guests using taxis and vans that the hotel organized for them. Yucay is a great central spot for reaching Ollanta, Calca, Pisac, and Cusco. This was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We visit Peru every 2 years and are excited to have found a safe, comfortable home base for future years.

Weddings can be a little loud as other reviewers mentioned, but they aren't every weekend and end around midnight...and the music is always great. We just danced.

Il Wi-Fi non funziona in camera e la linea non prende. Qui in camera sei isolato. Ho più volte esposto questo problema ma senza ricevere alcun riscontro.

El personal en el restaurante, fuimos a almorzar, pero demoraron en la atención, a pesar q eramos los únicos, y la comida regular. Lo mismo en el desayuno, creo podrían ser más amables y ofrecer todo lo que brindan en el desayuno buffet. ( nos fuimos enterando que habían cosas q debíamos pedirlas). Los demás restaurantes pequeños, muy buena la atención.
