"Warm stay at Susana's Casa!"

The host created a WhatsApp for instant communication which to really helpful to me. Susana is a warm host. The breakfast is well-prepared at 8:30 in the morning. She also suggested me where to visit in Lima, I particularly like the Larco Museum. The apartment is located in the residential building and there is a guard. The location is perfect - convenient to visit anywhere in Lima, and there're lots of good restos, the tourist information centre and some mini convenient stores around. The place is safe and chilling. Bonus, there is a lovely cat staying with us.

Nada. I am not a Spanish speaker and I communicated with Susana by very simple Spanish keywords and via Google Translation - that's also what I expected in Latin America.

Fantastic host, very friendly and accommodating with lots of advice. I arrived very late due to flight problems (4am) and Susana woke up to let me in. Nice to stay in a real home. Very fast internet. Comfortable bed, good privacy. Great location.

"Value for money"

Susana's nephew came and stayed up to let me in when my plane time was changed and I arrived in the middle of the night. Susana took charge and sent the taxi-driver away when he arrived an hour and a quarter too early for my departure. As a single woman travelling alone, I felt very safe at Susana's. The bedroom and bath were small but had everything I needed. The one breakfast (out of 4) that I got was very tasty (fruit salad, warm, fresh bread and local cheese) and substantial. Good supply of local herb teas that you could help yourself to whenever you liked.

I went there twice. The first time Susana was away and the person she had asked to make breakfast didn't show because of illness, so that I had to buy my own breakfast makings. I expected a little reduction on my second stay, but that didn't happen even when I told Susana what had happened (reason for not giving the place 10 out of 10).
