Expansive Views at The Crest House by Swank House

We liked the open floor and large windows. The beds and the super-wide couch were comfortable. We appreciated the local coffee beans. Unfortunately, we weren't able to use the outdoor space as we were there during the heatwave.

We were a bit disappointed in that the photos of the place looked better than the reality. The place looks airy and sparkling clean, but in reality many of the kitchen cabinets' paints were peeling off, furniture were worn out, and the house didn't smell fresh when we first walked in. It would have been nice if the hospitality team was better about the readiness of the house, and ensured some cooking essentials (e.g. cooking oil) are available to fully utilize the spacious kitchen.

The house was in a great location just outside of town. It was a wonderful space for two couples. We unfortunately were in town with the bad fires and had to stay indoors much of the time. Fortunately, we had this lovely home to cook in, tell old stories, play games, watch fun TV. We couldn't have had a better place. We will definitely be back!!!

This was a comfortable, tastefully well-designed and well-appointed home. The views were spectacular. The furniture and beds were like clouds - so comfortable and we slept so well. The hosts were incredibly responsive and friendly and welcoming, but unobtrusive, which is the best.

The traffic noise. I walked outside one evening to the side of the home to enjoy the sunset and had to go back indoors. That can't be helped though and is not the owners fault. It's just near a fairly busy road (directly behind house is not as noisy which is where we spent most time). Also I have severe misophonia and an aversion to certain noises so I'm ultra sensitive to it. The media is definitely state of the art and very nice. However, none of us could figure out how to work the TV, and I had several digital natives (17, 19, 22) traveling with me. We finally gave up, Just a little too high tech for us. Simple and straightforward in my opinion is better, and can still be state of the art. Also we thought we were the only ones there and the place felt very private, but the second morning we noticed a strange car in the drive and apparently there is an apartment connected to the house which was occupied. Had the unit been on the property but solo standing, it wouldn't have felt as odd, but being that it was part of our house it was a bit uncomfortable. It is in the description of the house online I'm sure, i had just not looked at it recently. It might be helpful to receive an alert right as you check in or before the neighboring unit checks in with a heads up if the apartment is booked during one's stay.

It really was a fabulous place. The views are incredible. Perfect for our family of five. Comfortable beds. Great shower. Very stylish.

The views at this house are worth EVERY PENNY! Having a morning coffee overlooking and magnificent view made me feel like I was experiencing true zen.

Lovely house! I booked The Crest House for a weekend getaway and it was everything they promised and more. Kitchen was clean and had everything you needed if you wanted to cook. Three rooms each with their own heater/air conditioning unit. Pet friendly, but very clean. A TV with access to Netflix, Prime and others. It's the views and the fire pit that really sold me on The Swank House. It's within walking distance to Cafe Luna and a five minute drive to local wineries. Staff and owner were extremely responsive and answered any questions. The only way they could top perfection is put in a hot tub. 10/10 would stay here again!
