Grooms Lodge, Chipping Campden - Taswell Retreats

Perfect location and very cosy accommodation. Kids loved the top floor bedroom. I would definitely recommend and definitely return.

Perfect location and great sized property. Off road parking. Comfortable beds and essentials provided.

Not clean enough, fridge smelt and hadn’t been wiped down from previous guests. Kettle and toaster dirty. Bathroom taps had clearly not been cleaned - dried on water marks from previous guests. Toilets were not thoroughly cleaned and bedding was only okay - noticed hairs on the sheets in more than one room. Most disappointing was that the living area wouldn’t heat up to a comfortable temperature as the thermostat is locked to 22 degrees. It’s underfloor heating but I didn’t once feel any warmth on the floor. When contacting for help the response didn’t result in a resolution - so we spent the trip wearing multiple layers when in the living space.

Everything A beautiful house.

Grooms Cottage was very clean and comfortable with the exterior and interior done to a very high standard. It exceeded all our expectations and we have difficulty recalling another property that we’ve stayed in that was better equipped. Everything and anything needed was at the cottage and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We used Chipping Campden as a central meeting place for myself, my husband, my sister and her husband (travelling from North and South). The location on the High Street is just perfect for eating out and enjoying local walks but also very handy to use as a base when travelling further afield in the Cotswolds. Ed is an amazing host and quickly forwarded very helpful and detailed information on the cottage and its locality. He also made himself very accessible for any queries via WhatsApp. Parking on site for 2 cars was very much appreciated. We only stayed one night as this was a last minute ‘add on’ to our Cotswolds meet up trip but we have all said we will definitely be booking Grooms Cottage again and I have also recommended it to family and friends since our return home.

Beautiful property, lovely and quirky. Very comfortable and well equipped. We have been to a lot of properties over the years, this one is excellent.

A microwave maybe ?

The property is modern, clean comfortable and in a fantastic location. The parking for two cars is also helpful. Communication from the owners was exceptional.

Recently remodelled so topclass, beautiful facilities. Loved the garden and central location.
