Location, lots of room.

The place smelled bad, when we ran out of toilet paper we were told that each stay only gets one roll.

The onsite manager was very pleasant and went above and beyond expectations. The rooms were well-equipped.

The hotel could use some freshening up and modernizing.

We had great views from the balcony. The room was good. From the hotel you can reach everything in the town by walking. Natalia was perfectly taking care of us, even we arrived at the weekend and late in the night. We felt comfortable there during our stay.

The balcony is directly above a busy street. Even the view was great, we could not sit there for a longer time.

Lovely apartment right in the heart of Gosier (not the touristy part) and just a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Aurelie is a perfect hostess, really helpful and friendly, and the view from the apartment balcony is stunning. There are supermarkets and restaurants and within walking distance, and frequent buses to and from Pointe-à-Pitre

The manageress of the property was absolutely lovely. The room was fine and the bed comfortable with good air-conditioning. Nice view from the balcony across to the little island and the bay. Plenty of room to store luggage.

Unfortunately, despite the warm welcome and the sweet room, we only stayed one night as the area around the property is not safe in the evening. The road is generally very dark, the pavements are broken and it’s better to walk in the road, which would be ok if it wasn’t such a busy street - or it was when we arrived in the early evening. We had been in Guadeloupe for a couple of weeks by the time we arrived in Le Gosier and it was the only town - or area that felt menacing. As it turned out, we were right on our instincts as we were attacked by 2 youths on our way back from a snacky dinner at about 9pm (so not late!) One grabbed my necklace and broke it, luckily, I managed to keep hold of it and we thought that was that as he ran off, but moments later he ran back and sprayed my husband in the face with mace (pepper spray). Then he ran again, spraying the mace as he ran so that we both were affected. Weirdly, that very busy street was silent at that time, and then, once he ran off, it was as busy as it was before. We reported it to the police with the help of the wonderful manageress of the property, so we really hope they are caught. As one of the pleasures is to go out in the evening for dinner and explore, we moved away the following day as we were very uncomfortable with the thought of going out in that area after dark. Plus it was the final few days of our lovely holiday and we didn’t want this experience to be the last thing we remembered of it. It is a real shame that at the time of writing this, we were not compensated at all by the property or Booking, but we preferred to feel safe than stay in that area. I’d love to be able to make an amendment to this last statement.

The apartment is quite spacious (great value for money!) and all the old furniture and facilities make it really charming. The location is great - all the nice beaches are nearby - and the view is phenomenal. Also the hostess was very friendly and helpful.
