Fantastic apartment converted to a high spec, everything tastefully finished and well equipped. It was at the top of the building and at the top of a very steep hill in Matlock. Stunning views . Choice of duvet which was good as I’m allergic to feather duvets ! In the hall foyer there are children’s books and games Hosts were lovely and interesting to hear about their renovation project Great pub down the road, good prices, local type pub

The towels were thin and rough. Investing in soft chunky towels would enhance the experience Replacing duvets with hypoallergenic would be good Lots of steps ! Steep hill !

Views, quirky history of the building, welcome pack. Very attentive host, one of whom was working abroad and took time to check all was well as there had been unexpected snow falls. Apartment was spotless and we really liked Matlock

Clean, beautifully furnished, warm and with amazing views!

I wouldn’t say ‘didn’t like’ but the walk down to the town and back was pretty steep and tiring when carrying any shopping. We should have driven or booked a taxi back really as it was dark and we got lost trying to find the property!

"Perfect stay"

The apartment was lovely. The owners had clearly put a lot of care into providing everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Lovely welcome tray with tea, coffee and sugar and biscuits and chocolate, fresh milk/ water in the fridge. We didn't cook but good that they had thought to provide salt, pepper, oil if we had wanted to cook. Good off road parking.

Didn't like the climb up the hill, but obviously could have got a taxi. If I was being really picky then the pillows could have been a bit better.
