The apartment was very central - five minutes down to the river Gilao and the town center. Tavira itself is a quaint city a ferry ride away from some of the best beaches on the Algarve. It's pretty spacious and with two bedrooms, one with a bunk bed, a kitchen and living room. The TV was equipped with a cable connection. The hosts (Cesar, the manager) was very helpful when we needed assistance and the management office is just two doors up the street.

Not much not to like. the bathroom is on the first floor but that just takes a bit of getting used to. There were general street works going on across town and this made it a little difficult to get the car to the street parking near the apartment but can hardly list this as a major issue. We visited during the third week of July and the city was abuzz with street fairs and concerts on the weekends.

Great location with a short walk to the centre/river. An unusual quirky property but immaculately clean and well supplied for our stay.

The stairs are a bit of a challenge being quite steep and narrow. Get ready to duck if you’re over 6ft tall.

Location and the balcony were the two best things about the property.

The balcony was not cleaned, nor were some of the white chairs. The space beside the kitchen was in a mess and I had to ask for a table which was given to me by the agency so that it could be accessed. It seemed like nobody had lived in the apartment for a long time. The large showerhead did not work. It definitely could have done with a dishwasher. For the price paid it definitely needs improving.

This little house was extremely well located, a stone's throw from the centre, the ferry and a short walk to the bus and train stations. The agents office is situated a few doors away and everyone there was very friendly and helpful. The roof terrace is a delight.

The lounge area is sparse and dark and the bathroom is upstairs whilst the main bedroom is downstairs. Poor weather conditions, March 2025, meant we didn't get to use the roof terrace much and any sun we did get was lost on the terrace by 16.00 hours. Not really suitable for a winter let.
