Souda Bay View with Private Pool near Chania City

There is a pool. The apartment was spacious. The host is welcoming and easy to approach.

The booking.com advertisement at time of booking was very deceptive. I hope it has now been changed. It said easy access to places. This property is nowhere near anything. There are no shops, beaches or bus stops nearby. It’s not near chania city, like advertised. It is on an extremely busy road (noise can be heard through out the whole apartment at all hours) and there is no footpath. If you want to get anywhere you need your own car or go by taxi. The photos only show the view and, for example the pool and the balcony shots of the view are angled so it looks like it is an unobstructed view of the water. In reality the view is partial and half is blocked by a building right infront of it. Kitchen appliances were old and often partially broken. Basic items that I have never thought about at other rental properties were missing or not provided. For example for a family of 5 staying several nights 2 rolls Of toilet paper were provided, 2 small, extremely poor quality (they literally fell apart each time we removed it from the bin) rubbish bags were provided, no coffee filter paper for the coffee machine, no dishwashing tablets for the dishwasher. Furthermore the host asked us to send a picture of our passports via WhatsApp. We refused and let her take photos on her own phone, however the lack of understanding of confidential document handling was concerning.

Ne pas avoir vraiment une piscine privative ni accès au barbecue.

Personnel très disponible et souriant. et logement très spacieux avec une super vue. Équipement cuisine et salle de bain très complet + machine à laver à disposition, au top. Terrasse hyper spacieuse et très ensoleillée, parfait pour les amateurs de sunshine. Proche de la péninsule, les paysages sont variés à proximité et les attractions et lieux touristiques ne manquent pas.

Un ou deux tupperware dans l'équipement de la cuisine serait un plus. Attention, 1 lit est un peu dur et l'autre super moelleux. 🤣 La location de voiture est indispensable pour louer cet appartement car 10/15 minutes de route est nécessaire pour accéder à la ville ou aux plages (pas de chemins piétons).

La vue est magnifique et l’accueil est chaleureux et une hôte très disponible.

Pas grand chose

Der Blick über die Bucht ist fantastisch. Die Wohnung war ausreichend eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und geräumig, gut schall isoliert. Man hört die Autos von der Straße kaum. Man braucht definitiv ein Auto, es liegt ein paar Kilometer weg von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und dem Meer. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und spricht Englisch.

Es fehlten viele Utensilien, wie z.b. Tabs für den Spüler, Aufwaschlappen, Salz, Pfeffer, Küchenrolle, Toilettenpapier... Der private Pool wurde von allen Bewohnern genutzt bzw sah nicht so ansprechend aus.

Big, spacious and very clean flat, with huge terrace and spectacular view! Hosts are nice and friendly and our stay was just perfect. We appreciated the kitchen facilities, the washing machine and the big wardrobes. Recommended for long stay, you will feel like home.
