Nice and cosy 1 bedroom apartment Lielupe Jurmala

We were a family with two small children, this apartment was perfect. On the first floor. Good kitchen with everything you need for cooking- plates, pots, utensils, oven, stove top and more. Bathroom with a washing machine, bath and shower. Two sofa beds, but very comfortable. The apartment was clean, nice smell 😄 Good free wifi, a parking spot, big communal garden. Just a little far from everything if you are traveling by foot. We had a car so this wasn't an issue.

Very good location. Not far train station. Nice and quiet area. Not far beach (5 minutes walk). Very good apartment. Host very friendly.

Really liked how easy it was to communicate with the owner and got detailed information on where to get the keys, where can I park my car (on the property a specific place, or outside for free), what check-in time, and such. The place was spotless, they even put a welcome gift of chocolate and a bottle of sprinkling wine, the bedsheets were prepared for us to put down, couches were in good condition. You are free to use the sink, and dishwasher if needed (I liked to wash dishes by hands so didn't use the dishwasher), you have your own toilet and bathtub, the also left towels for you to use. There's tv you can watch, there are some cable channels but I used the YouTube account as a Guest to put on some funny videos in the evening or used the Google to access a website to watch a movie. If you're staying during summer and it's hot inside, there's a fan you can use, too. The beach is 5-7 minutes walking distance, so you can take a nice stroll in the quiet neighborhood. I got the chance to talk to two elderly ladies who live on the property and spoke Russian, they gave specific instructions on where to put the car on the property and were very welcoming. I also had payment issue with Booking, because it said "payment is handled by the property" but the owner said it should be handled automatically through Booking, so that was a weird issue. The owner contacted Booking and had discussed the issue for hours and then we agreed on that I pay myself directly to him. He was so nice and patient, it was an amazing experience alltogether! Definitely will book this place again next summer if it will be available. Thank you so much for the wonderful holiday I got to experience with my younger sibling.

Downside is only that you need to walk to the train station to get to Riga, for example. I drove by car from Finland, so the travelling to shops or museums wasn't an issue for me, so you have to plan transportation carefully if you don't have a car with you. Otherwise I can't think of any downside to this lovely apartment. Maybe only that you can fit 3 adults? Maybe 4 if you can squeeze in nicely on the couches.
