Galaxy 3BR Modern Home with Fireplace Outdoor Spa

Firewood and shampoo was not in place even tho I check in around 6pm which give host plenty of time to prepare.

Location

First of all was no wood when we got there, looked for it here and there at the end requested team to bring more then they did. Should have done begore we check in. Secondly on our second day of out stay we went out and request staff for housekeeping but when we got back to ours rooms it wasn’t done.

It was very spacious and I felt like I was in an extraordinary place. The location is also good.

I was looking forward to BBQ, but the gas ran out halfway through and the food was undercooked. I ended up cooking it on the hi-burner. The hi-burner was also half broken. The aftercare was good, but it was disappointing

if the cooking tools are having more better woks or pans would be better

Really great place to stay with kids and family. Very clean with a well functioning kitchen and bbq. The spa and kids play area was wonderful.. love the stay.

Nothing I don’t love

This house is in a fantastic location for a stopover at Lake Tekapo - it has huge lovely garden with trampoline for young children

I would have liked one more shower if possible (1 shower between 6 was a bit of a logistical nightmare when trying to check out)

It’s a lovely home suit for family vacation. Good location and Spa is very nice.

When we arrived, which was later than the suggested check in time, there were construction workers there working on one of the other buildings on the property and the cleaning crew was still there. We were asked if it was ok we come back a little later and this was already in the later afternoon. We decided to go walk around which was fine, but for the amount of money we paid, it really wasn't fine. There was a key box to get the key, but again, the cleaning crew was there, so we did not need to use the lockbox. We did use it upon departure, placing the key back in when we left.

The fact that I booked two nights originally, but being from out of the country, I did not understand the georgraphy well enough to know I didn't need to stay there two nights. So when I asked to cancel the one night and within a very gracious amount of time, they told me since it fell within less than a month's notice, they would not refund the second night's fees. So we paid for two nights and only stayed one. So, when you show up and find you can't check in when you wanted to and paid for two nights, it's even harder to swallow. The communication between the property and Booking.com was the worst ever!! I made several calls and emails and messaging back and forth where they kept telling me I would get my refund for the 2nd night. But in the end, after I got home from my trip and followed up yet again, they all tell me to go pound sand and get lost. I will never see the refund from this property or Booking.com who I will never use again.
