Whitianga Blue Bach - Location Location Location!

Old bach, retro style, but my it was lovely. Towels and linen supplied. Basics like salt n pepper, cooking oil, and milk were there. Even down to a washing machine and dryer. All you could need was there. Home from home. New carpets throughout didn't go unnoticed. Good curtains and comfy settee. Most important comfortable beds as well. We all 4 of us loved it all. The property couldn't be more central, and with off street parking, so there were no worries around the car parking. It is very quiet, has a small back garden which was nice too. I would definitely go to Blue Bach again. Longer than 3 nights next time...

Only a couple of things, not so much didn't like, but couldn't understand why they've not been fixed. Dripping taps in the utility room, and the draw of the washing machine needs replacing. I am sure it would be possible to get a new one. It came off in my hand so must have already been broken....

It was a great location with the beach, harbour, shops and restaurants all within a 10 minute walk, The house had a fun retro feel but still with everything you need.

It was perfect for a little getaway! Location is 2 minute walk into town and 5 minute walk to the beach so everything really was right at the fingertips. And the beds were so comfy we passed out so fast every night. We loved every minute of our stay!

The curb into the driveway was quite steep so would recommend parking on the road front if you have a lowered car like ours but otherwise it was great

It says 12 square meters on the website but definitely much bigger than that so plenty of space in the house for 3 people. Really close to the beach, restaurants and other things but still really quiet street to stay.

I prepared myself for an old house but didn't expect there's still food scraps on the table, no venting fans in the bathroom, ants coming in, etc. The door of the small bedroom couldn't be closed becoz the bed was on the way and I couldn't move it by myself. The host fixed it on the second day but that's still one night of poor sleep.

We really enjoyed the space to relax in the house after staying in motels since we arrived in New Zealand. It was well appointed with obvious careful thought about what might be needed by different people. It was very comfortable and welcoming. There was even a Scrabble set available which we enjoyed using!

We are not nit picking about an excellently provisioned residence but a small sharp vegetable knife for the kitchen was the only thing missing.

Everything you needed was there, lovely place, centre to Town, very well layed out with comfy begs.
