Great location, and responsiveness from the owners. Considering it was in the center of Philly, the room was good quality for that price. It's a great place for people staying over between 1-2 weeks (and don't mind stairs) and need somewhere to live while they explore the city.

There's some limited equipment in the place - like cooking utensils and pots. It was also not uncommon with things missing - like lamp shades, lights and other minor things. The laundry room/basement probably needs a bit of cleaning - somehow I felt dirtier after I'd cleaned my clothes.

Location in the city

Location in the building: 5th floor walk up on a narrow spiral staircase. Very hot upstairs in early May. Bedroom was up a steep ladder upstairs by itself. Restroom was downstairs. Owner should have been more forthcoming about apartment location. Said it was my fault- pics showed the ‘staircase’ which was a wooden ladder with narrow rungs. Could not stay there!!

The apartment was clean, the location was very good, the booking agent was very responsive, the kitchen was well stocked, and the upstairs bed was comfortable.

When we arrived there were no sheets for the second bed / futon and only 1 towel and washcloth each for a 10 day stay. The futon was not comfortable. Posted directions how to use the heater would be very helpful. The dining table is on wheels so you're constantly having to readjust the table. When I read that it was apartment 5 I did not know that meant 5th floor. That is really important information to give people who may have knee problems or back problems.

Responses from the host were highly prompty, and the host was very flexible. The location of this apartment is perfect since it is located in a safe area of Philadelphia. It is bright enough to walk at night. The bed was comfy as well. I want to give a big compliment to the host. Also, you can find a convenient store close to the apartment, and that opens until 11.30pm. Lastly, this is a very very affordable option.

The dial for managing a room temperature looks old, so you may wonder whether it works at your first glance. But it works well!
